Leeward Group applies a chemical compound that is (NOT a coating that can wear off), but a process that creates a tread design on the mineral surface itself without losing the look or feel of your flooring or the comfort of bathing in a porcelain tub. It will not discolor or change the look of your floor, tile, tub or shower. There is a three step process that starts with the photo to the right with the application of PosiGrip and then neutralized with a mop shown in the second photo, and then in the third photo a shop vacuum is used to remove PosiGrip and dry the floor. Our trained installers are quick (within 20 minutes) to apply this product to a bathtub or shower. Floors can be treated around 600 square feet per hour. Leeward Group will send out a staff member to asses the application. Testing will be done to determine the chemical ratio needed to provide a slip resistant surface for each surface. The area will be measured and a price estimate will be completed based on the square footage of area to be treated. Upon acceptance of the estimate an installation date will be set. On that date a trained installer will bring in light janitorial supplies (sprayer, mop and bucket, shop-vac, or squeegee) and apply the chemical compound to a manageable sized area for a period of time to achieve the level of slip resistance desired. Once that time has passed the chemical is naturalized with water and either swept up or a squeegee used to take the water to the nearest drain.
